The role of the Scientific Executive Board (SEB) is to develop and implement the organisation's scientific strategy and policy.

The Board meets once a month and is chaired by our Chief Executive, Harpal Kumar. The other members of the Board are:

The SEB interacts closely with the Council Research Strategy Committee and the executives also seek advice on matters of science strategy and policy from the Science Strategy Advisory Group.

The Science Strategy Advisory Group (SSAG) meets once a year to provide advice to the Scientific Executive Board (SEB) on key scientific strategy and policy issues.
